Application and Principle
The TOM-600 Heavy Hammer Resistance Tester can measure surface resistance (point-to-point resistance), volume resistance, and grounding resistance. Under different ambient temperatures and humidity levels, the resistance of objects varies significantly. The instrument can simultaneously test and record ambient temperature and relative humidity.
The instrument automatically selects the test voltage based on the actual resistance value: when the resistance is less than 200 kΩ, it uses a 10 VDC test voltage; when the resistance is greater than or equal to 200 kΩ, it uses a 100 VDC test voltage. It also allows manual selection of a fixed test voltage of 10 V or 100 V. The instrument features a built-in timer, allowing selection of test durations from 0 to 240 seconds to measure the average resistance over the set time or for other applications compliant with various standards.
TOM600 Measurement Modes
Surface Electrostatic Resistance (Point-to-Point)
During testing, electrodes are placed on the mat under test. The measured resistance is affected by the conductivity of the material, the flatness and cleanliness of the surface, and the distance between the two electrodes.
Volume Resistance Test
The mat under test must be placed between a metal plate and the test electrode or between two test electrodes. The measured resistance is influenced by the material's conductivity, thickness, and surface flatness and cleanliness.
Grounding Resistance Test
Tests the grounding resistance of the mat. The measured resistance is affected by the material's conductivity, the flatness and cleanliness of the surface, the distance between the test electrode and the grounding point, and the grounding condition.
